What is the Local Board of Appeal and Equalization?

The Local Board of Appeal and Equalization provides an opportunity to review the estimated market value and classification of your property for the 2023 assessment (for taxes payable in 2024). The board is not empowered to adjust property taxes.

How do I submit an appeal for my property?  

If you have questions or disagree with the estimated market value or classification of your property, please email the assessor's office or call 763-494-6265 to discuss any concerns. Issues often can be resolved by contacting the assessor.

If you still disagree with the assessed value or classification of the property after contacting the assessor's office, you may appeal. Submit an application no later than Friday, April 14, 2023. Version Options Local Board of Appeal & Equalization Headline no
